Arden Country House
Breakfast
Having been born and raised in a rural setting, the emphasis has always been on home cooking, home baking and using local, seasonal produce so when we opened the B&B in 2002, there was no reason to do anything different.
We have received several breakfast awards over the year and we are delighted to announce that when Visit Scotland launched their “Taste Our Best” award, we were amongst the first to awarded.
Whilst many guests enjoy the traditional cooked Scottish Breakfast with Stornoway Black Pudding, Hornig's Haggis and White Pudding and locally sourced Free Range Eggs and Bacon, we also strive to ensure that there is something for everyone, even the “nonbreakfast” breakfast guests.
Fresh season fruits, fruit compotes of rhubarb, mixed Scottish Berries and poached pears are just a small sample of the extensive fruit and cereal buffet on offer. Homemade Yoghurt , Bircher, and homemade granola are regulars, not forgetting Cinnamon French Toast, Homemade Pancakes, Homemade Banana Bread, Fresh Avocado with Grilled Bacon, Vine Tomatoes , served on Freshly Baked Sourdough bread with Balsamic Glaze , Eggs Benedict, Scottish Smoked Salmon.
The menu changes daily and we are always open to new suggestions.
Vegan and Vegetarian menus are available and with prior notice , every attempt will be made to address special dietary needs such as Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Lactose Free.
