Please note that the postcode covers 2.5 miles and that many GPS will take you to the centre of the post code at Bowden Springs Fishery and Carriber Cottages. If travelling West, the Fishery is ¼ beyond Arden Country House and if travelling East towards Linlithgow, the Fishery is ¼ mile before Arden Country House.

From the M9 - travelling east for Edinburgh, A720, M8 Junction 1 Exit Junction 3, Distance 4 miles.

Turn left on the A803 and follow the signs for Linlithgow. Enter a 40 mile limit and continue to mini roundabout, you will see Linlithgow Palace to your right. Take 2nd at roundabout and continue into town. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit on to the High Street and past the Star and Garter Hotel which will now be on your left. Continue along the High Street, over the cobbles to the next roundabout, the West Port Hotel is situated on your right. At the roundabout take the first exit, sign posted, Ruby Club and Leisure Centre. Continue through traffic lights and under rail bridge, past the ruby club to the right and continue out of town.At roundabout take 2nd exit, sign posted Lanark A406 . Arden Country House is situated 1.3 miles from this roundabout. Continue out into the country side, past Brookfield metals on the right remaining on the Lanark A706 . Slow down through double S bend, then slow down to cross the Canal Bridge – traffic heading west ( you ) have the right of way over the bridge, to on coming traffic. You are just minutes away. Continue on the A706, road rises – the word SLOW is painted on the road, start indicating left when you see SLOW, the entrance to Arden Country House and Belsyde House is only 20m ahead to the left. There is a large B&B sign - Belsyde House & Arden Country House – at the main entrance, a large set of pillars and a pretty lodge cottage. Enter through the pillars and continue up the private driveway , on reaching the top , Arden Country House is situated to the right.

From West M8 (Exit Junction 4 of M8 - distance 8.4 miles)

Exit Junction 4 .At roundabout , take first exit on to A801, at next roundabout take first exit remaining on A801. Continue to next roundabout take 2nd exit, remaining on A801. At next roundabout take 2nd exit sign posted A801, following signs for Linlithgow. At next roundabout take 2nd exit , the road will soon become the A706 , sign posted Linlithgow. After a few minutes you will see sign for the The A801 which branches off to the left, DO NOT take this road continue to follow signs for Linlithgow A706. On passing a sign for Torphichen, whilst you remain on A706. You are exactly 1.7 miles to the entrance of Arden Country House at this point. You will immediately pass a small sign for Russell's Country Food store to the right, then pass small lodge on the right. Remain on A706, past Carribber Cottages sign to the right, through sharp S bend and past house sign for Hare's Loup Sign to the left . The road then dips and rises quickly with the word SLOW painted on the road, immediately indicate right – the B&B (Belsyde House and Arden Country House ) sign is visible at this point, be careful as the entrance is on the bend. Turn right , enter through the pillars, past the lodge cottage and up the private driveway. Arden Country House is situated to the right on reaching the top of the driveway. If you miss the entrance continue to the canal and turn at the entrance to Arran and Lumsdaine House.

M9 travelling East from Stirling, Kincardine, Falkirk. Exit Junction 4 of M9, Approximate distance 4.8 miles

At roundabout take 3rd exit on to A803, signposted Linlithgow. Continue approximately 3 miles in the country side . The next town will be Linlithgow On entering the 30 mile limit, turn right at the traffic lights . Continue forwards and give-way to on coming traffic at the small railway bridge. Continue to roundabout Take 3rd exit, signposted Lanark A706, Arden Country House is situated 1.3 miles from this roundabout. Continue out into the country side, past Brookfield metals on the right and continue on through double S bends, slowing down to cross the Canal Bridge – traffic heading west (you)has the right of way over the bridge ,to on coming traffic. Continue up the incline – the word SLOW is painted on the road, start indicating left, the entrance to Arden Country House and Belsyde House is only 20m ahead to the left.There is a large B&B sign - Belsyde House & Arden Country House – at the main entrance, a large set of pillars and a pretty lodge cottage.
